Divi’s Laboratories Limited is a Hyderabad-based active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturer that has, since 1990, built a business around scale chemistry rather than branded pills. The company sells high-quality APIs, intermediates and nutraceutical ingredients into more than 100 countries and presents itself among the world’s top three API makers, including a claim to be the world’s largest producer of more than ten generic APIs. Generic API, Custom Synthesis and Nutraceuticals are the three published segments. About 30 generic APIs are commercial; six more sit in R&D. Batch sizes run from tens to thousands of tonnes. Complete backward integration and dedicated production blocks are the operating method, not a brochure extra. Custom synthesis is the CDMO face. Divi’s says it has served 12 of the top 20 Big Pharma names for more than a decade, with confidentiality and IP integrity treated as the product as much as the molecule. Offerings include small molecules, high-potent work, peptides and biological buffers, with green-chemistry language on the process side. Nutraceuticals supply a carotenoid range—astaxanthin, beta carotene, lycopene—and targeted vitamins in liquid, beadlet and powder formats for nutrition, pharma, food and feed customers. Research and manufacturing are sized for that mix. More than 700 scientists work across four R&D centres on cost-effective processes that stay viable across a product’s life. Three manufacturing units, including a newer Unit 3, provide combined annual capacity above 18,600 cubic metres. More than 2,500 quality-control and quality-assurance analysts sit behind in-house labs. Integrated solvent-recovery plants and backward integration are how the company talks about resource efficiency. None of this is a prescription or a clinical claim.
