POWERGRID 

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is the Maharatna central transmission utility, incorporated on 23 October 1989 to build and operate the inter-state grid that lets surplus power in one region serve deficit load in another. The Government of India holds about 51.34 percent, which keeps POWERGRID a listed public-sector company rather than a ministry department, while the rest of the equity trades with institutions and the public.
