Gujarat State Petronet on X
BusinessGujarat State Petronet Limited was built as the midstream transmission arm of the GSPC group. While GSPC focused on producing and procuring natural gas, GSPL laid the state grid that moved molecules from supply points to demand centres and toward last-mile city gas networks. Public copy on gspcgroup.com/GSPL described GSPL as India’s second-largest natural gas infrastructure and transmission company. The same pages listed a pipeline of about 2,703 kilometres, bi-directional flow so gas could be sourced or uploaded at either end, continuous monitoring through SCADA systems integrated with GIS, and an open-access or contract-carrier model that let other shippers use the network on payment of charges. The company said it transmitted more than 25.35 million metric standard cubic metres a day in financial year 2022–23 and that further pipeline extension was under way. Those numbers belong on the historic corporate pages and in older exchange filings; they are cited here only as GSPL’s own yardsticks from the period when it still existed as a separate listed company. This listing is a brand archive, not a claim that GSPL is still a live legal entity. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs sanctioned a Composite Scheme of Arrangement among Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited, Gujarat State Petronet Limited, GSPC Energy Limited, Gujarat Gas Limited and GSPL Transmission Limited. After the parties filed the order with the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, the scheme became effective on 1 May 2026. GSPC, GSPL and GEL then ceased to exist and were amalgamated into Gujarat Gas Limited without winding up. The gas-transmission undertaking was demerged into GSPL Transmission Limited, which the group has described as a focused, soon-to-be-listed carrier. Gujarat Gas has said its own name will change to Gujarat Energy Limited to match a wider energy book. Official Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X accounts linked here remain the historic GSPL brand pages. They are verified as official company channels from the transmission era, not as proof that the old company still trades. They are not capacity-booking desks or investor-grievance portals. Shipper nominations and shareholder work now belong on the surviving companies’ published routes. Follow the pages for historic GSPL news, then confirm the scheme, successor names and current pipeline operator on the GSPC group site and in stock-exchange filings dated 1 May 2026 and after.
