HDFC Mutual Fund
FinanceHDFC Mutual Fund is the public mutual-fund brand of HDFC Asset Management Company, a promoter-backed Indian AMC whose published scale as of 30 June 2026 is about Rs 9.32 trillion of assets under management. It is not a scheduled commercial bank counter, not a payments wallet, and not a stockbroker-only house even though HDFC Bank is named as holding 52.3 percent as promoter. A unitholder who starts a SIP, reads a factsheet, or speaks about a PMS or SMA mandate is still dealing with the AMC and its registered distributors, not with a comment-thread “relationship manager” who asks for a one-time password. Those scale cuts should stay as stated. More than 110,000 distributors, about 280 offices, coverage of roughly 98 percent of PIN codes, 1,738 employees, and a presence across more than 200 cities describe a nationwide servicing map as of the notes, not a guarantee that a stranger on Instagram can “activate a folio in every PIN code” after a CVV. Two-plus decades of operating history explain why the brand is widely recognised; they are not an invitation to invent founding-year tombstones, scheme-level NAVs, or rupee PAT that do not appear here. PMS and SMA sit beside the mutual-fund book as separate mandates. They still need KYC, suitability, and the AMC’s own portals. A LinkedIn carousel that mentions AUM is marketing, not a portfolio-management contract. Mutual-fund investments are subject to market risk. Scheme information documents, key information memoranda, and factsheets remain the places for risk factors, expense ratios, and exit loads. A reel can show a campaign; it cannot replace an NFO form or a registered distributor. Bank-promoter AMCs are frequently spoofed: look-alike pages blend “HDFC” with guaranteed-return language and then harvest the SMS code that actually authorises a folio change or a bank mandate. Distributors are appointed through the company’s own process; a stranger who claims to be an empanelled partner and asks for a PIN is not the franchise. Office-count and PIN-code coverage do not travel through YouTube comments. Official social destinations—X at hdfcmf, Facebook at hdfcmutualfund, Instagram at hdfcmf, LinkedIn at hdfcmf, and YouTube at HDFCMF—are brand and public-information channels. They are not folio-servicing desks, not PMS onboarding counters, and not places to share an OTP, PIN, CVV, or password. Confirm schemes, NAVs, and transactions only on official AMC or registrar rails or with a verified distributor. If a stranger DMs a payment link or asks for a one-time password, close the thread and use the numbers and forms the company publishes itself.
