Mahindra Rise
BusinessMahindra & Mahindra is the listed flagship of the Mahindra Group, the Indian federation that publishes under Mahindra Rise and asks people, partners and communities to Rise together. The Group describes itself as purpose-led, performance-driven and future-ready: it exists to drive positive change for people and the planet, then holds each business to market leadership and the next wave of technology. That purpose is not a slogan parked in a CSR annex. It is the thread that ties a steel-trading house founded by J.C. and K.C. Mahindra more than eighty years ago to a global company present across mobility, agriculture, financial services, technology, hospitality, logistics, real estate, renewables and a long tail of emerging industrial work. The automotive franchise is the most visible face. SUVs, light commercial vehicles, last-mile electric mobility, motorcycles, trucks and buses sit under one roof, with Mahindra Last Mile Mobility now a serious electric-volume story in Indian cities. Farm Equipment is the other historic pillar: tractors at global scale, agri services and farm machinery sold to growers who treat a Mahindra machine as infrastructure, not a lifestyle purchase. Services complete the picture. Tech Mahindra and Bristlecone carry the technology brief; Mahindra Finance underwrites rural and semi-urban credit; holidays, logistics and energy sit alongside. Chairman Anand Mahindra sets the Rise ambition. Group CEO Anish Shah runs the federation. Rajesh Jejurikar leads Auto and Farm. Scale is real but it is not the story. Turnover well above thirty billion US dollars, more than three hundred thousand people, twenty-plus industries and a hundred-country footprint matter only because they let one business enable another. A tractor customer can meet finance; a commercial-vehicle buyer can meet last-mile electric; a manufacturer can meet Tech Mahindra. The Group is present in sectors that cover most of India’s GDP and still talks about itself as a federation, not a monolith. Social work is equally specific. Project Nanhi Kali has educated well over eight hundred and seventy thousand girls. Women’s economic programmes run into the millions of lives touched. Climate work is anchored on a carbon-neutral 2040 pathway, electric kilometres already on the road, and net-zero experiments in living and manufacturing. Careers programmes such as SOAR, a returnship for women, and a specialised Mahindra AI unit show how the same values show up inside the company. Official Mahindra Rise channels carry product news, Formula E, festivals and investor-grade group news. Follow them for the operating company, not a fan page: launch films, farm-tech explainers, results and the quiet insistence that performance without purpose is not the Mahindra deal.
